Lehman’s Commercial Real Estate Exposure
If you follow the Lehman Bros saga, you’ve heard that they made lots of bad commercial real estate loans and investments that will need to be written down because of poor asset values. Lehman’s books were so contaminated with that crap that NOBODY wanted to touch them. Who could have forseen these problems?
Well, Chicago Attorney David Stejkowski might have. He wrote about it last year in his Dirt Lawyer Blog. Read the short post about Lehman here. He heard about the numbers they were paying and he knew that prices are steep if you ain’t getting as 6-cap.
I like this guy! He’s a real estate lawyer like me.
