BULL
ProLogis was added to the “No-Short List” late Monday. Click HERE for the CNBC story. Nobody seems to want to publish that information! ProLogis publicizes every single little lease they sign in Kyrzghistan but I don’t find out til nearly a day later that you can’t short it? Trust me…it’s NOT that I don’t follow the company closely. ProLogis execs must have been banging down the Comrade Cox’s door Monday morning wondering why they didn’t make the first cut!
I will be holding on to my PUT options and riding this stock down as long as them Commies in Washington don’t send the Secret Police to my house to pick me up for ”Re-Education.” I’ve got the only downside insurance you can buy and I’m not selling it on the cheap. I KNOW banning shortselling does not work. The invisible hand will conquer. Click HERE for a graph of what happened to Fannie and the Pakistan stock market when they tried to do the same.
So how does ProLogis qualify to get on the ban-list for “Financial Stocks” when it’s supposed to be a real estate company? ProLogis is not a real estate company - it’s an Investment Bank. Instead of banking and trading financials, they bank and trade real estate. Enron was ultimately an investment bank. It banked and traded energy.

Does a ban on short selling also include puts? Also, does the ban only prevent future short selling meaning that those who had already put money on short selling and puts in the past are fine?

You can still buy puts. However, i don’t doubt that they can be pulled out from under you at any time.

So if ProLogis is an investment bank, and the stock is banned from short selling, does this imply there is an increased chance that ProLogis may get bailed out?
Hmmm. Very Uncertain times indeed especially with all of these front page political action moves flooding the waves.

The real question is: What will happen to the common stock? I think it will go to ZERO!

And then what happens? Does that mean you win? That would be much earlier than you had expected.

I am confident it will go to zero with or without assistance. The real question is when? I think that can be real soon but I am prepared for it to be longer.
